I have had our dog Timber on a glucosamine/ chondroitin supplement for about 4 months. It didn't seem to be helping him very much so I had to add Rimadyl to his daily routine just so he could get up. Because of the side effects of Rimadyl, I wanted to take him off and decided to order the Arthrix Plus for dogs. What caught my eye about this medication is that it contains larger doses of MSM, a natural anti-inflammatory. He has been on it for about a month and he now is able to stand easier and no longer has the paranoia of walking on concrete or walking up the stairs! It is great to see the medication working for him. Of course, he has been weaned off the Rimadyl which is twice as expensive as one bottle of the Arthrix Plus. I purchased Arthrix Plus from Kala Health over the past several years for my Golden Retriever, Ranger. He passed on in April of this year at the ripe, old age of 16 years and 9 months. I just wanted to let you know that my service dog--a 7 1/2 yr old Siberian husky started to develop arthritis in the past year. Anyway, I had been giving here Dermatrix for about a year due to side effects [excessive dandruff] from being on the l/d medical/vet diet. I had excellent results with Dermatrix. I studied the various arthritis combos on the 'net' and finally decided to put Yukon on Arthrix Plus. Even after about 5 days of the loading dose I noted some improvement. Now just over 2 weeks later; Yukon is as spry as our 9 month old Siberian husky Juneau. I would like to offer the following testimonial for Arthrix Plus. We have two toy fox terriers and both were diagnosed with luxating patellas when they were still puppies. Lucy, the older dog, is three and was diagnosed as severe (level 3-4) in both legs. Molly is nine moths younger and is severe in one leg and medium in the other. It was really sad to see them hobbling along as their rear legs kept locking up. We took them to a specialist who recommended surgery. That option did not appeal to us so we started looking at herbal remedies. We also tried acupuncture to no avail. Finally, after trying products that claimed to be similar to yours we decided to try Arthrix Plus. After about two months of using Arthrix Plus I stopped seeing the rear leg lockups which had become a daily occurrence! It has now been about a year since we have seen a leg lockup. Our vet says they still have the patella problems but could not really explain legs no longer locking up. I have a 7 year old beagle that has some leg issues. After four trips to the vet, and considering surgery, we found your product on the internet. We did use some meds from the vet to get the initial swelling down for him (he has 2 bones in the paw area that rub due to a birth defect that we found out after some scans and x-rays) and our vet suggested that we find a product that would help rebuild the "gel" between those bones. Well, we have had him on your Arthrix Plus now for about 2 weeks. He's doing great, and looks like we might be avoiding surgery, and we are so happy about that. I wanted to share with you that we have a hard time giving him meds. We have tried it all, hiding it in everything from cheese to pudding. He either eats around it or spits pills out. To avoid him not wanting to take your product we actually chopped the bottle of pills up into powder, and now we give him 2 big tablespoons mixed in his food. It's not that he didn't like the taste, he just will NOT take pills. He's too smart! Maybe this tip will help others that have dogs like him. Thanks for putting out such a great product! So, just as a test I switched to giving her only MSM. What a difference! Now she is having difficulty walking at all. So this evening I ordered another larger bottle of Arthrix Plus through your web site. I just want to report that the short term results of giving Arthrix Plus to my dog have been remarkable. A while ago, Nikki had lost all bowel control and was beginning to walk on the tops of her hind paws and collapsing. I thought I’d have to put her down. But, after researching on-line I found your wonderful dietary supplement for geriatric dogs. She is now walking for 30 minutes at a time and has bowel control again, and her appetite too.
